Directed by Adam Wingard (Death report) from a script by Eric Pearson (Black widow) and Max Borenstein (Godzilla: King of the Monsters) based on a story treatment by Zach Shields, Michael Doughtery (Krampus) and Terry Rossio (Shrek), in this epic action-adventure, two of the greatest titans in film history compete against each other, with humanity trapped in the middle. The film not only marks the second big showdown between the two, but also the 36th. Godzilla Film and 12 .. Kong Excursion, the former having two for the MonsterVerses under his belt while the latter has only one Skull Island.
The ensemble list for the Monster mashup includes returning franchise stars Millie Bobby Brown (Strange things) and Kyle Chandler (First man) and Alexander Skarsgård (The stand), Rebecca Hall (The night house), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Shun Oguri (Gintama), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby driver), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2) and Demián Bichir (country). King of the monsters‘Zhang Ziyi and franchise newcomer Jessica Henwick (Love and monsters) should appear in the film, even though their roles were left on the cutting room floor.

Godzilla versus Kong is produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod and Brian Rogers, while Kenji Okuhira, Yoshimitsu Banno, Jon Jashni and Thomas Tull are executive producers and Jay Ashenfelter, Jen Conroy and Tamar Kent are co-producers.
