Alanis Morissette shared a new song called “I Miss the Band”. The single comes out months after the release of their 2020 LP Such Pretty Forks in the Road. Proceeds from the new track will benefit Backline – a resource connecting music industry professionals and their family members with mental health and wellness providers. Check out the song below.
“Life in this industry can be incredibly isolating and difficult,” wrote Morissette on her YouTube page. “Backline provides a safe, private, and immediate place to get help. Backline programs are available for free to artists, managers, agents, crews, producers, labels and their families, and offer case management, support groups and wellness programs to meet the needs of this unique community. “
Such Pretty Forks in the Road were Alanis Morissette’s first studio album in eight years after Havoc and Bright Lights 2012. Last December, Girlpool remixed Morisette’s track “Reasons I Drink”. The remix was released on the new Such Pretty Forks in the Mix EP.
