It’s hard to look away from Kyle Allen and Kathryn Newton’s fancy chemistry.

The Map of Tiny Perfect Things works in a variety of ways as the casting receives its two leads. Kyle Allen, who has never played a leading role before, really anchors the film with some kind of shy doggie approach to Kathryn Newton’s character, who is smart, cool, and armed with love and interest in the situation in what they found themselves. Mark is fun to hiss around with and hiss as a loner, but as partners the two really balance out and have a pretty interesting dialogue about trying to move forward or be one with the present.
