An arrest warrant for Marilyn Manson was issued by the Gilford Police Department in New Hampshire, the TMZ points out. Tonight (May 25th) Gilford PD announced the news on their Facebook page. The post stated that Manson “has been faced with two Class A misconduct charges against Simple Assault that stem from an incident in the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in 2019”. According to TMZ, Manson is said to have spat on a videographer during a concert. Pitchfork contacted the Gilford Police Department for more information.

“Mr. Warner, his agent and legal counsel have been aware of the warrant for some time and he has made no effort to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges,” Gilford PD wrote in their statement. They added that in New Hampshire a Class A misdemeanor could result in a possible jail sentence of less than a year and a fine of $ 2,000 or less. The full post from Gilford PD can be found below.

Reaching out for comment from Pitchfork, Manson’s attorney Howard King wrote:

It’s no secret to someone who’s attended a Marilyn Manson concert that they like to be provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera. This allegation of offense came after we received a demand for more than $ 35,000 from a videographer at the venue after a small amount of spit came into contact with her arm. After asking for evidence of alleged harm, we received no response. This whole claim is ridiculous, but we remain committed to working with the authorities, as we have consistently done.

Marilyn Manson is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for allegations of domestic violence. In recent months, Manson has been accused of physical, psychological and sexual abuse by a number of women, including his former girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice, Game of Thrones actress EsmĂ© Bianco and his former assistant Ashley Walters. Both Bianco and Walters filed sexual assault and battery lawsuits against Manson.
