Friends Reunion will finally start filming in “A Little Over a Month”.
In a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Emmy-nominated actor David Schwimmer finally reveals a new update on HBO Max’s long-awaited Friends Reunion. He confirmed that the special is still running and that filming can begin soon in Los Angeles. When asked if the rumors about Ellen DeGeneres who hosted the reunion were true, Schwimmer immediately exposed them. However, he teased him that he knows who will host but doesn’t know if he can reveal it.
“Actually, I’m going to LA in a little over a month.” Schwimmer said. “So, I mean, we finally figured out a way to film it safely, and there will be part of it that we filmed outside because of security protocols.”
The eagerly awaited Friends Reunion was actually the first special HBO Max announced right before it launched. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, filming was postponed twice in the past year. Because of the delay, two more TV meetings had taken place, including this one Prince of Bel Air and West wing Specials now available to stream on HBO Max.

Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, Friends had lasted over ten seasons from 1994 to 2004, following the story of six friends who lived in New York. Although 25 years had passed since its debut, the 62-time Emmy Award-nominated series has stood the test of time and is still considered one of the best TV series of all time. It had also become a pop culture phenomenon known to all age groups.
The long-awaited reunion special features Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc, who played the roles of Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Ross, Chandler and Joey. Each of the beloved cast members is said to have made $ 3 million – $ 4 million for the special.
The unwritten Friends The Reunion Special will be directed by Ben Winston, who will also serve as executive producer alongside original producers Kevin Bright, Kauffman and Crane. The six main stars will be executive producers alongside Emma Conway and James Longman.

It was previously reported that WarnerMedia had successfully regained the exclusive streaming rights for all 10 seasons of Friends for a price of $ 425 million. According to a previous report, it was Warner Media Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt who was responsible for developing a company Friends Goodbye special.
The special, which was originally intended to be part of the streaming service’s launch last year, will be filmed on the legendary show’s original sound stage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank.
