Black Widow is done running away from her past in a new trailer!

Just over three months from the long-awaited arrival of Marvel Cinematic Universes first Phase 4 film, Disney has unveiled a new trailer for the Scarlett Johansson-directed film Black widow Showing the title heroine is done running away from her past. The trailer, which features new explosive action footage and a glimpse into the story of her and her family, as well as the choices that would all lead them down their dramatic path, can be seen below!

Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy arises with ties to her past. Natasha is haunted by a force that stops at nothing to bring her down. She has to grapple with her history as a spy and the broken relationships she left behind long before she became an avenger. With the character who met her death in Avengers: Endgamethe action for the film is set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

In addition to Johansson, the film features a star cast, including Golden Globe nominee David Harbor (Strange things, Hell boy) as Alexei alias The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh (Fight with my family, Midsommar) as Yelena Belova, Oscar winner Rachel Weisz (The favorite, my cousin Rachel) as Melina, Ray Winstone (The departed) as Dreykov, head of The Red Rom, and OT Fagbenle (The story of the maid) as a bricklayer.

The film was directed by Cate Shortland (Lore) from a script by Jac Schaeffer (The hustle and bustle). Black widow is expected to hit theaters and Disney + Premier Access simultaneously on July 9th, over a year from the original release date.
