Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda has released a new song, his first since his prison release in February and his first new single as a lead artist in seven years. The freestyle is called “No Time for Sleep”. Check it out below.
Shmurda was released from the Clinton Correctional Facility on February 23. In 2016, he was sentenced to seven years in prison in a plea deal, to which he was “forced” after his arrest in 2014.
Despite being denied parole in September, he was restored to recognition of his good behavior in early January. Bobby Shmurda had said he accepted the deal to obtain a lighter sentence for Rowdy Rebel, who was released from the Collins Correctional Facility in December.
In July, Bobby Shmurda shot a remix of Eladio Carrión’s “Tata” with J Balvin and Daddy Yankee. He will perform this weekend at Made in America in Philadelphia, slated for September 4th and 5th after the city was hit by Hurricane Ida.
