Bonnie “Prince” Billy and guitarist Nathan Salsburg have released a new EP for Bandcamp Friday entitled Three Feral Pieces. Max Porter wrote the lyrics for each song and Joan Shelley plays the Wurlitzer organ on the recordings. Listen to three wild pieces in full below.

With fewer than 1,000 copies available, the physical edition of Three Feral Pieces includes all three songs on one side of a 12-inch record with an earthy etching on the B-side. The EP is the latest collaborative effort by Bonnie “Prince” Billys Will Oldham, who has released a spate of cover songs with Bill Callahan and revived his duo with Matt Sweeney for the upcoming Superwolves album. Oldham and Porter most recently released “It’s Getting a Bright New Day: Would You Rather” with Bonnie Prince Billy Year.

Last spring, Shelley and Salsburg shared “Bed in the River,” a new recording with lyrics by Porter. Salsburg recently published the solo works Landwerk and Landwerk Nr. 2. Porter’s latest book, The Death of Francis Bacon, was published in January.
