Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have announced a new joint project called Silk Sonic. The couple made an entire album together, featuring Parliament’s Funkadelic bassist and funk star Bootsy Collins as “Special Guest Host”. The first single arrives on March 5th, the rest of the record arrives on an undisclosed date.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak toured together in 2017, and that same year they reportedly worked with Disclosure and Nile Rodgers on material on Abbey Road. Collins released his most recent solo album, The Power of the One, last year. Anderson .Paaks Ventura was released in 2019. Bruno Mars’ last album was 2016’s 24K Magic.
