“As we know, Cruella de Vil is pretty vicious,” says Stone on the featurette. “In this film we see her become the villain we know today. The story is completely original and is in a different period in the late 70’s. One of the most exploring things is their creativity. She is very good at what she does and designs. The character is so fun and so exhilarating. Once you’ve donned that wild black and white hair, incredible makeup, and totally unique costumes, you’ll feel like Cruella de Vil. The bad guys are always funny. “

Based on the character Dodie Smith created in her 1956 book The hundred and one Dalmatians, Disney’s Cruella will explore the rebellious beginnings of one of the most infamous – and notoriously fashionable – villains in cinema, the legendary Cruella de Vil. Set in London in the 1970s in the midst of the punk rock revolution, the film follows a young Grifter named Estella, a smart and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends two young thieves who appreciate their appetite for mischief and together they can build a life for themselves on the streets of London.
