Nick Moran, who directed Telstar: The Story of Joe Meek and The Kid, directed the film, which is based on McGee’s memoir. The story of The Creation Records: riots, raves and running a label. Starring as McGee is Ewen Bremner, known as Spud in Trainspotting.
In the UK, the film will premiere at the virtual Glasgow Film Festival on February 24th before launching on March 29th. Moran said in a press release that the film was “Part cautionary story, part carefree romp, mostly hilarious, occasionally sobering, and constantly engaging. … An irresistible journey into the past or a delightful history lesson about the last great days of rock and roll. When Britannia ruled the Airwaves thanks to a man with his underdogs and their indie record label that briefly changed history. “
