Thomas Bangalter’s first post-daft punk project is a new ballet called Mythologies. The 90-minute production, a co-production of the Opéra National de Bordeaux and the ballet company Ballet Preljocaj, is about the “founding myths that shape the collective imagination,” says a translation of the official French description.
Choreographer and Ballet Preljocaj founder Angelin Preljocaj will direct Mythologies, which will be performed from July 1-10, 2022 at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France. The Orchester National Bordeaux Aquitaine plays Bangalter’s score under the musical direction of Romain Dumas. More information can be found here.
In 2018, Bangalter contributed to Gaspar Noé’s Climax soundtrack. The duo Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo announced in February that Daft Punk was over.
