Virginia guitarist Daniel Bachman has announced a new album. It’s called Axacan and will be released on May 7th via Three Lobed as part of the label’s 20th anniversary series. Along with the announcement, Bachman shared a new song from the Coronach album. “‘Coronach is a kind of’ funeral ‘,” he said in a press release. “This tune is my own lament for lives lost to COVID 19 and feelings related to the failure of Western society to cope with a pandemic. It’s pretty literal and I hope it comes through in the resonance of the music. “Listen below and scroll down for the track listing and cover art.

Daniel Bachman’s latest album, The Morning Star, was released in 2018. Read about it on Pitchfork’s list “Great Records You Have Missed: Summer 2018”.
