Set more than seven years after the world turned to a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer The focus is on the remains of mankind who live in a constantly moving train with 1001 wagons that circled the globe. Class struggle, social injustice, and survival politics all play out in this compelling TV adaptation based on the graphic novel series and Oscar-winning film Joon-Ho (parasite). The series was extended for a second season before the first season aired.

The post-apocalyptic drama is being produced by Tomorrow Studios (a joint venture between Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios) along with CJ Entertainment, who produced the original film. The series is directed by Marty Adelstein (Cowboy bebop, One piece, Hanna) and Becky Clements (Cowboy bebop, One piece, Hanna); Showrunner Graeme Manson (Orphan Black) who wrote the first episode; Director James Hawes (The alienist, Black mirror); Matthew O’Connor (continuum, Tin Man); Scott Derrickson (Creepy, Doctor strange) and the producers of the original film, Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Tae-sung Jeong, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun, and Dooho Choi.
