After winning the best animated feature for the one directed by Jamie Foxx soul At last Sunday’s 2021 Oscars, Walt Disney Studios and Pixar finally released the full album Luca Trailer for her first animated film this year with Jacob Tremblay and Jack Dylan Grazer. The video opens with two young sea monsters venturing across the surface to experience a memorable summer with their new human friend that encourages them to try a range of things that they think are impossible. Originally slated for theatrical release, the film is now slated for a Disney + premiere on Friday June 18 at no additional charge as a special offer to kick off the summer season. However, it is still expected to hit international theaters where Disney + is not yet available.

Luca will tell a fun and heartwarming story of friendship and leaving your comfort zone with two teenage sea monsters who experience a life changing summer. In a beautiful coastal town on the Italian Riviera, this adventure revolves around a boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with ice cream, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares this adventure with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply ingrained secret: They are sea monsters from another world just below the surface of the water.
The animated film is directed by Jacob Tremblay (room, The little mermaid) as Luca Paguro, a bright and inventive 13-year-old sea monster with endless curiosity – especially when it comes to the mysterious world above the sea; Jack Dylan Grazer (Shazam!) as Alberto Scorfano, an independent, free spirited teenage sea monster with an unbridled enthusiasm for the human world .; and Emma Berman as Giulia, an outgoing and charming adventurer who befriends Luca and Alberto.
The voices of Maya Rudolph (Great Hero 6, The Willoughbys) as Lucas mother Daniela, Marco Barricelli as Giulia’s father Massimo and Jim Gaffigan as Lucas father of Lucas father.

Luca The Italian filmmaker Enrico Casarosa is directing his full-length directorial debut with Andrea Warren (lava, Cars 3) hired as a producer. Casarosa, who worked on iconic animated films such as cars, Ratatouille, Above, The good dinosaur, Coco and Incredible 2, has been with Pixar since 2006 as a storyboard artist and writer.
