DJ Shadow has announced a remake of his groundbreaking debut album Endtroducing for the 25th anniversary. The remastered edition will be out over Iceland on September 24th, along with a new 7 “with Cut Chemists remix of” The Number Song “.
First released in 1996, Endtroducing was remastered at half speed from DJ Shadow’s original DAT tapes. Five years ago, DJ Shadow released a 20th anniversary edition of the album.
“I was so happy to recently discover the original DAT tape that served as the final mix source for the album and to make it available for the remaster in time for this release,” said DJ Shadow. “When comparing the new version with the old one, I was shocked at how many audible details came to light that I had completely forgotten.”
