Dylan O’brien -> Actor (Maze runner Trilogy, Love and monsters, Infinite) joins the management of Zoey Deutch (The politician) in Quinn Shephard’s upcoming satire feature Not okay by Searchlight Pictures, for diversity. The film premieres exclusively on Disney’s streaming platforms: Hulu in the US and worldwide on Star.

Written and directed by Shepard, Not okay follows a misguided young woman desperate for friends and fame, who fakes a trip to Paris to improve her social media presence. When a terrible incident occurs in the real world and becomes part of her imaginary journey, her white lie becomes a moral dilemma that gives her the attention she needs.
The cast also includes Mia Isaac (do not let me go), Embeth Davidtz (Old), Nadia Alexander (Seven seconds), Tia Dionne Hodge (The land of fixed habits), Negin Farsad (High maintenance), Karan Soni (Dead Pool) and newcomer Dash Perry.

Brad Weston and Negin Salmasi’s Makeready are producing the project. Production is currently running in New York City.
