Fall Out Boy with Green Day and Weezer are withdrawing from two dates on their Hella Mega Tour “because one person in the band’s team tested positive for COVID”. The concerts – August 4th at Citi Field in Queens and Fenway Park in Boston on August 5th – will continue to feature Green Day, Weezer and the Interrupters. Fall Out Boy representatives made no comment when reached by Pitchfork.

Fall Out Boy also wrote in their announcement, “It’s important to know that everyone throughout the tour, both the band and the crew, is fully vaccinated. Each band and their crew operated independently in a bubble to protect everyone as well as possible during each show and between shows. “

Last month, Foo Fighters canceled a concert in Los Angeles under similar circumstances. The band said the cancellation was due to “a confirmed COVID-19 case within the Foo Fighters organization”.
