Jazz on a summer day
Filmed at the Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island in 1958, directed by world-famous photographer Bert Stern, Jazz on a Summer’s Day features intimate performances by an all-star cast of music legends such as Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Gerry Mulligan and Anita O’Day , Chuck Berry, Dinah Washington and closes with a beautiful rendition of the Our Father by Mahalia Jackson at midnight to usher in Sunday morning.
