FINNEAS, Billie Eilish’s older brother and primary collaborator, is directing the upcoming film The Fallout, Variety Reports and its agents who have been confirmed to Pitchfork. The film, directed by Megan Park, stars Jenna Ortega as Vada, a teenage girl who “navigates the emotional fallout she experiences after a school tragedy.”
Peymon Maskan, the film’s music supervisor, told Variety:
FINNEAS brought a certain level of empathy into the characters that could only come from a composer of the same generation. He’s young so he can relate to the story personally, which was a big reason we considered him. But to tell this story with insight, it takes artistic maturity. FINNEAS is a unique artist who can offer both. After he and director Megan Park had their first conversation about the film, we all knew he was the perfect composer for the film. His score is very inspired by the hope and willingness to overcome such trauma and it is quite memorable.
FINNEAS recently produced the new single “Lo Vas a Olvidar” by Billie Eilish and Rosalía. Earlier this month he shared his own song “American Cliché”.
