Meg Duffy has announced her new Hand Habits album. Fun House is out October 22nd via Saddle Creek. Produced by Sasami Ashworth and developed by Kyle Thomas (aka King Tuff), Fun House features guest vocals from Perfume Genius on “No Difference” and “Just to Hear You”. The album contains the new song “Aquamarine”. Check out the “Aquamarine” video below (via The Fader).
“What originally began as a minimally arranged acoustic ballad, ‘Aquamarine’ has developed into a story of certain events in life that shape my identity, the silence in the unanswered questions that become the form of understanding who I am”, said Duffy in a statement. “My goal was to wrap some of the dangers of mortality (lyrically) in a musical landscape that doesn’t take much patience from the listener to bring grief to the metaphorical club. We shot this video in my aunt’s bar and club in upstate New York and connected the song’s origins and lineage themes to images of changing identities and characters in a room I wandered around as a teenager. “
