In an interesting move, HBO stops the actor from doing it for Marlene The last of us Games for TV adaptation.
The Hollywood Reporter says Merle Dandridge will play Marlene again. Your character, who acts as the leader of the Fireflies resistance movement, plays a pivotal role in the plot. Dandridge pronounced the character in the 2013 game and its sequel. While Dandridge is best known for her voice acting, she has played a number of traditional acting roles, including Kim Hammond The flight attendant and Diana Macomber in Murphy Brown.

Dandridge joins a cast that already contains Terminator: Dark Fate Actors Gabriel Luna and game of Thrones Veterinarians Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramse. Production of the HBO live-action series is expected to begin this July in Canada.

The HBO series is directed by Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Luna will play Joel’s brother Tommy. Co-written by Chernobyl Creator Craig Mazin and original game writer Neil Druckmann will tackle the events of the first game in the series adaptation.

Kantermir Balagov is included as a director of the pilot episode. Mazin will co-executive produce with Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, President of Naughty Dog, and Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions. The project is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television in association with PlayStation Productions.
