HBO Max is picking up Search Party for a fifth season
HBO Max picked up Max Original Search team for a fifth season and signed the series’ showrunners, Charles Rogers and Sarah-Violet Bliss, to a two-year contract to develop new programming for the streamer.

“We’re thrilled that HBO Max not only brought the world a fifth season of Search Party, but also showed so much confidence in our partnership with them as we developed new projects for the platform.” said executive producers Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers. “Possible titles for upcoming shows are Monkeys Love Manhattan and The Pineapple Predicament. These aren’t actual shows that we would ever put on, but it shows that we can make up titles if we have to. “

Search team Stars like Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds, John Early and Meredith Hagner. The first three seasons followed best friends “Dory” (Shawkat), “Drew” (Reynolds), “Elliott” (Early) and “Portia” (Hagner) through a chaotic private investigation, a semi-accidental murder and an absurd cover-up and sensational exam.
In season 4, Dory was held captive by her psychotic stalker “Chip” (Cole Escola), which forced Drew, Elliott and Portia to be search party again – this time for Dory. Known for its sharp satire of millennial culture, the comedy series has a 97% critical rating for Rotten Tomatoes. The first two seasons aired on TBS before the series switched to HBO Max for seasons three and four.
