Marissa Nadler, Martin Courtney of Real Estate, Christian Lee Hutson and Kevin Devine are among the artists who contributed to a new compilation of Elliott Smith covers, Stereogum points out. The project came about after Francis Lung (formerly Wu Lyf) streamed a charity tribute concert live last summer with La Blogothèque and My Favorite Elliott Smith Song. Some of these artists and a few others recorded the covers that you can hear on this compilation. Downloads benefit LGBTQ + charities AKT, the Audre Lorde Project and GIRES.
