According to Jordan Helman (via Deadline), director of script originals at Hulu, he’s seen excerpts from the third season of the sci-fi drama and hopes it comes out sooner rather than later. “The past year and a half have been complicated in terms of production at various levels,” he said. “I can’t give a start date, but we’re really excited to see what we’ve seen so far.”

After Fox moved to Hulu in 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic essentially disrupted all production of the show, leaving fans waiting for updates on what a third season might look like. The news will be music to the fans’ ears, however, and Helman has even raised the possibility of another season of the show, saying that the “future of the show remains an open talk and there has been no other talk”.

“I believe the fans of the show who join us from Fox will be deeply excited and satisfied. I also think it will feel new to new fans who may not have seen it before, ”he said.

The Orville is a one-hour live-action adventure series set 400 years in the future and follows the USS Orville, a mid-level exploration spaceship. His crew, both humans and aliens, face the wonders and dangers of space while dealing with the problems of everyday life.
