Iman Benson, Willian B. Davis, and others join Netflix’s The Midnight Club

Almost a month after starting production of Netflix’s adaptation of Christopher Pike’s eponymous literary novel by Mike Flanagans The midnight club further expands its line-up to include Iman Benson (Alexa & Katie), Larsen Thompson (bolero), William B. Davis (X-Files), Crystal Balint (The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco) and Patricia Drake (The sorority of the traveling pants), according to the deadline.

Netflix The midnight club is a 10-episode horror series by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong based on Pike’s 1994 horror novel and set in Rotterdam Home, a hospice for terminally ill teenagers. The story revolves around a group of patients who gather at midnight to share scary stories. When they form a bond, they make a pact that whoever dies first will contact the others from beyond the grave.

In the series, Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard and Sauriyan Sapkota will be at the center of the story as the club of terminally ill young adults and will lead an ensemble that also includes originals Nightmare on Elm Street last girl Heather Langenkamp.

Flanagan and Fong worked together The haunted Bly Manor, the sequel to the adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s novel by the 41-year-old writer / director The Haunted Hill House. Fong will co-produce the series with Julia Bicknell and Flanagan & Trevor Macy through their Intrepid Pictures banner, which has an overall creative deal with the streaming service. It has previously been reported that the show will include other novels from Pike’s bibliography.
