IMAX update | Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet opens heavily in Japan
The 23rd film in the popular Detective Conan Franchise (known as case closed in the US) is a hit in Japan. Detective Conan: The Scarlet Orb had a great opening weekend in its native Japan when it grossed $ 1.2 million. Since it was only shown on 38 IMAX screens, that means each screen grossed $ 32,000. This is the third highest IMAX opening weekend since the pandemic began Demon Hunter and Shin Evangelion.
