Alucard, Belmont, and the rest of the clan sharpen their blades as they prepare to return for season four of Castlevania. This adaptation of the classic Konami video game series has received high marks from both old school fans and newcomers and will conclude on May 13th with this final season. As shown in the trailer, the fourth and final season of Castlevania shows our heroes who continue their quest against Isaac and his followers. The show revels in the same action and bloodshed that fans of the source material know and love.

Originally conceived as a single film, plot points from both are reproduced in this adaptation Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. However, it is not a direct adaptation of the plot of the games. This had led to some interesting moments for those who remember the games and for those only familiar with the more notable entries on the series Symphony of the night.
After the end of Castlevaniashows showrunner Adi Shankar a similar adaptation in Devil May Cry. It’s also attached to Ubisoft’s TV adaptation of Assassin’s Creedand he promises fans that he will try to combine all of his video games into a kind of “bootleg multiverse”. With the success of this and Netflix’s most recent series based on DOTA, there are certainly plenty of opportunities for new entries in this endeavor.
