According to a recent report from Deadline, Abrams is executive producer of a new four-part documentary series about mankind’s fascination with unidentified objects in flight for Showtime. The series, known as UFO, will premiere later this year on August 8, 2021, dropping all four episodes at midnight.

According to reports, the series will take a look at what influence the American government, private corporations, and the military could use to hide the truth behind potential extraterrestrial phenomena. Interest in UFOs has seen a massive surge, according to a 2017 New York Times article in which the Pentagon confirmed footage of Navy pilots hitting an unidentified object in the sky.
