Justin Bieber’s new album Justice is the # 1 album in the US this week, Billboard reports. The album – Bieber’s eighth place at the top of the Billboard 200 – took off Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album, which topped the list for ten weeks in a row. Dangerous is now at number 3 on the table. Billboard reports that Justice topped the list with 154,000 album units earned in the US for the week ending March 25.
Wallen’s album debuted at number 1, breaking streaming records for a country album. It stayed at # 1 for weeks after Wallen was widely condemned for a video showing him holding a racist bow. He was suspended from his label, pulled out of country radio, and taken out of competition for the CMAs.
Wallen has posted apologies and said he met with black organization and black executives to discuss his actions. In a video, Wallen asked his fans to stop defending him. “It is up to me to take responsibility for it and I fully accept all the penalties I face,” he said in the February 10 video. Dangerous stayed in # 1 for six weeks after this video.
