Kalinda Vazquez will be writing Paramount’s next Star Trek film

The Star Trek The universe is about to do big things at Paramount +. But while the brand is currently thriving on the small screen, its future on the big screen has been nebulous since Star Trek Beyond in 2016. Involvement in the Star Trek universe appears to be Vazquez’s birthright. It was named after a character named Kelinda who appeared in an episode of the original Star Trek In addition to Discovery, Vazquez has also written for Star Trek: Short Treks, Fear the Walking Dead, and Marvel’s Runaways. She is currently working with Game of Thrones creator George RR Martin on a TV adaptation of Roger Zelazny’s Roadmarks. That series will eventually air HBO.
