Days after Donald Trump commuted his prison sentence, Kodak Black released a new song called “Last Day In”. On the track, the Florida rapper seems to be addressing the circumstances that led to his release with the lyrics: “Trump just released me, but my favorite president is on the money / everything they hate presidents has become clear to me. ” You can find the song below.
Shortly after his release, Kodak thanked Trump for “his commitment to judicial reform and reducing my sentence.” The rapper is still facing charges of first degree sexual misconduct in South Carolina – a state crime – related to an alleged sexual assault on a woman at a Comfort Inn and Suites in 2016.
Lil Wayne, who received a full apology from Trump for pending federal gun charges, released a post-pardon track earlier this week called “Ain’t Got Time.” Along with Wayne and Kodak, Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris received a commutation from Trump.
