A24 has published the official lamb Trailer for Valdimar Jóhannsson’s upcoming feature film directorial debut with Noomi Rapace in the lead role. Just like its first teaser, the new video continues to tease the dark and bizarre tones of the film, which will most likely revolve around parenting. The trailer comes after the supernatural horror drama recently had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021. The film is slated to hit US cinemas on Thursday, October 8th.

lamb is about a childless couple in rural Iceland who one day make an alarming discovery in their sheepfold. In this dark and atmospheric fairy tale, the striking debut film by director Valdimar Jóhannsson, you are soon confronted with the consequences of defying the will of nature.
The film is directed by Noomi Rapace together with the Icelandic actors Hilmir Snaer Gu∂nason and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson. Before its debut in Cannes, the US distribution rights for the film were successfully acquired by A24.

lamb Valdimar Jóhannsson is directing from a script that he wrote together with the Icelandic author Sjón. It is produced by Hrönn Kristinsdóttir, Sara Nassim, Piodor Gustafsson, Erik Rydell, Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska, Jan Naszewski, Chimney Sweden and Chimney Poland in collaboration with Rabbit Hole Prods.
