Less than two days after Trump pardoned Lil Wayne, the rapper released a new song that appears to address the federal gun charges that granted him pardon. Wayne’s lyrics in “Ain’t Got Time” appear to refer to an incident in December 2019 at Miami-Grandpa Locka Executive Airport, in which authorities discovered guns and marijuana on board Wayne’s private planes. “The government is hot on us,” says Lil Wayne in his new song, adding, “They robbed my private plane.” He also references the late rapper Juice WRLD. Wayne doesn’t directly mention Trump or the pardon itself. Listen to the song with Fousheé below.

Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition from a convicted criminal in December last year. Before Wayne received the President’s full apology, he faced up to 10 years in prison. In addition to Wayne’s pardon, rapper Kodak Black and Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris received a commutation from Trump.
