Lizzo has announced that she will be releasing her first new solo single in over two years next week. The new song is called “Rumors” and will be released on August 13th. “Rumors” serves as the successor to Lizzo’s suite of Cuz I Love You tracks and the Charli XCX collaboration from 2019 “Blame It on Your Love”. Cuz I Love You, released in April 2019, was Lizzo’s third studio album and definitely their breakout release. Their singles “Truth Hurts”, “Good as Hell” and “Juice” became omnipresent hits. She was also the most nominated artist at the 2020 Grammy Awards, winning three awards: Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
