The fans may have been hoping that Marvel’s MODOK, the upcoming animated series on Hulu, would be linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unfortunately the showrunner is for MODOK ended every debate.

Speak with ComicBook.com In a new interview, Jordan Blum was asked about the continuity of the show and stated that it took place in her own universe within the Marvel Multiverse.

“Yes, we are our own universe,” said Blum. “I think Harley Quinn is a good example of that, these aren’t the movies, but it’s really cool. Marvel, like a database, has all of the universes in the multiverse and there is a man who runs them and they let me choose the numbering of our universe. My son’s birthday, 12/26, is our universe, so we went to the Marvel Multiverse, which is great. “

While fans may be sad to hear the news, it’s nice that Blum was able to choose his own universe to live in, and even nicer that he could in some ways dedicate the show to his son. As for the legendary Marvel villain, those who hope he will breed with the likes of the MCU must wait and keep hoping for future films.

In Marvel’s MODOK, the megalomaniac super villain MODOK has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world.
