Big Thief are back with two new songs. “Little Things” was recorded in Topanga, California, in October 2020. “Spatz” was included in the Catskills last summer. Both were produced by the band’s drummer James Krivchenia. Listen to both songs below.
Krivchenia stated that the joint version of “Sparow” was the band’s first recording. “We are all scattered around the room without headphones, concentrated and in the music – you could feel that something special was happening,” he said in a statement.
It is their first new music since the release of the two hands outtake “Love in Mine” last year. Her last albums, UFOF and Two Hands, were both released in 2019.
On Friday, September 10th, Big Thief will perform at the 2021 Pitchfork Music Festival at Union Park in Chicago, Illinois. Tickets are now available.
