The 2021 Met Gala is tonight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The event usually takes place on the first Monday in May to celebrate the opening of the Met Costume Institute’s annual exhibition; This year’s edition of the annual event has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic (2020 event has been canceled). This year’s exhibition consists of two parts: “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” and “In America: Anthology of Fashion”. The 2021 gala will be co-chaired by Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman and Naomi Osaka.
