Modest Mouse have announced a new album. The Golden Casket will be out on June 25th via Epic and a new song called “We Are Between” is out now. The album was produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and in the Portland studio by Modest Mouse. Listen to the new song below.
The new album follows the 2015 Strangers to Ourselves. In 2019 the band took a number of steps anticipating the release of a new full-length song, including the release of new songs called “Ice Cream Party”, “Poison the Well” and “I’m Still Here”. (None of these appear on the new album’s track list). That year, Modest Mouse toured with the Black Keys as well.
