Netflix ‘The Witcher Season 2 Finally Closes Production!
Netflix has officially announced production for the long-awaited second season of The witcher was finally completed over a year since filming began. The announcement came with the publication of a new video with showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who takes a look behind the scenes of the 158 days of filming of the series at 15 locations with 89 actors and over 1000 crew members. The production packaging comes after that The witcher Season two saw a number of production delays, mainly caused by the ongoing pandemic. This included the new actor Kristofer Hivju (game of Thrones) along with some crew members who tested positive for COVID-19 last year and lead actor Henry Cavill, who sustained a minor leg injury during an attack course on set.

Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The witcher is an epic story of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a lone monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where humans often turn out to be more evil than beasts. But when fate drives him to find a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile continent together.
The series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt von Rivia, Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer von Vengerberg, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia and Joey Batey as Jaskier.
Season 2 introduces many new characters created by Kristofer Hivju (game of Thrones), Kim Bodnia (Kill Eve), Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders), Yasen Atour (Young wanderer), Agnes Björn, Basil Eidenbenz (Fast and Furious 9), Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish girl), Mecia Simson (Britain’s and Ireland’s next top model) and more.

The witcher The series for Netflix is based on the stories and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. Schmidt Hissrich acts as executive producer and showrunner for The witcher. Sean Daniel will serve as Executive Producer with his partner Jason Brown under the Sean Daniel Company. Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko from Platige Image are also executive producers.
The series is slated to return sometime this year.
