Paramount + Announces Yellowstone Prequel Series Y: 1883

The prequel will focus on the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west across the Great Plains to the last bastion of the untamed America. It’s a stark retelling of Western expansion and an in-depth investigation of a family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land – Montana.

The third season of the neo-western drama was the most-watched season premiere on cable in two years, drawing a record 6.5 million viewers on Live +3. Y: 1883 is produced by Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David Glasser, David Hutkin and Bob Yari as executive producers.
