Paramount taps Angel Manuel Soto to direct the new Transformers movie
Shortly after landing, the coveted director’s chair from Warner Bros. and DC Blue beetle Angel Manuel Soto continues to add exciting new projects to his dance card as Paramount has brought him to lead a new project Transformer Film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While plot details on the film being written by are currently unknown Marco Ramirez (The Twilight Zone, orange is the new black), Sources report that the project will be developed as a story separate from the studio’s main film series, which began in 2007. Also at this time, given that the film is in the early stages of development and Paramount is blindly committed to the project, it is also unknown who will be producing the feature, although it is said that Lorenzo di Bonaventura has been producer on everyone Transformer Film so far is going to be involved in some way.
The new movie is the latest project being developed by Hasbro’s legendary IP Toy Story 4 Helmer Josh Cooley had committed to staging an animated prequel set with the working title that takes place entirely on the planet Cybertron Transformers One while last January it was announced that Joby Harold (Army of the Dead) had written the script for a sequel to bumblebee and November see Creed IISteven Caple Jr. signs up as a director. Additionally, Scream Reboot writer James Vanderbilt wrote the script for a Transformers: Beast Wars Projekt und das Studio has one of the projects scheduled for release on June 24, 2022, although it is currently unclear which project.

Soto broke out with his teen drama Charm City Kings, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last year to excite critics and debuted on HBO Max last October, and will now direct the DC Extended Universe debut of Blue beetle at WB.
