Paramount + Features New Pet Sematary Movie, Italian Job TV Series, and More!

With the renaming of CBS All Access to Paramount + on March 4th, the studio announced a series of high-profile projects aimed at attracting potential target groups to the streaming platform, namely a new one Pet Sematary Film and a number of TV series based on Paramount’s extensive collection of classic films, including Love story, Disastrous attraction and The Italian job.

“My job is to find Paramount + The Handmaid’s Tale, the Mad Men, The Walking Dead – the show that helps define them.” Nicole Clemens, president of Paramount Studios, told THR. “It’s really ambitious and an offer that will be incredibly attractive and compelling to people looking for a different streamer in the market.”

Pet Sematary will serve as the origin story of the popular Stephen King story, which starred in 1989 in a film starring Dale Midkiff, Fred Gwynne and Denise Crosby. A remake released in 2019 starring Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz and John Lithgow. By slash film, Jeff Buehler, who wrote the film in 2019, will write the script, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who produced the film in 2019. In fact, di Bonaventura said at the time: “I think if there is something here there will be a prequel. I think if you look at the book we haven’t covered everything that happens before the Creed family moves in. Flashdance is based on the 1983 feature of the same name in which Jennifer Beals played the lead role. The new series, developed with a script for the pilot engagement in October, will focus on the following “A black woman struggling to make a name for herself in the ballet world” and will serve as a sequel to the original film, albeit in the present. Angela Robinson (The L-word) will produce and direct the pilot. And Beals is not involved, according to Handel.

The parallax view is a new version of the 1974 film that starred Warren Beatty, Hume Cronym and William Daniels. It was the second of Alan J.
