The anime series tells the inspiring story of a young deaf prince named Bojji and his mysterious outsider Kage. In the series, the duo embark on an “epic and amazing journey of adventure, self-discovery, and perseverance as they overcome the adversities of the world and their own personal circumstances,” according to a summary for the anime.
Funimation will be the exclusive streamer for the series when it debuts on Friday, October 15, 2021, with both subtitled and dubbed episodes available. The series is based on the popular manga series by Tōka Sōsuke, which debuted in 2017 and quickly became a fan favorite.
“Bojji was born as the first prince of the kingdom ruled by King Bosse, who is seventh in the ranking of kings,” says the manga summary. “But Bojji cannot hear and is so powerless that he cannot even swing a sword. As a result, not only his own followers, but the public as well, see him as utterly unfit to be king. Then Bojji finds his first friend, Kage. His fateful encounter with Kage kindles a tiny spark of courage and her life takes a dramatic turn. “
