Resident Evil Origin Story reboot lands on September release date
With the filming going smoothly and with a star-studded cast tied to the project, Constantin Films and Sony Pictures will mark the upcoming restart of the resident Evil According to the deadline, the film franchise has reached a release date on September 3rd.

The film is said to be an official genesis of Capcom’s longtime survival horror video game franchise and will take place on an infamous night in Raccoon City in 1998 when the Umbrella Corporation unleashed hell on the world and it was left to a select group of people to stop them.
Logue will join the previously announced cast, which includes Kaya Scodelario (The labyrinth runner) as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant man and the wasp) as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell (Upload) as Chris Redfield, Tom Hopper (Black sails) as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia (Zombie Land: double tap) as Leon S. Kennedy and Neal McDonough (DC’s legends of tomorrow) as William Birkin. Chad Rook (The Lightning) and Lily Gao (The story of the maid) were cast in supporting roles.
The film is being produced by Robert Kulzer for Constantin Films, who, along with James Harris from Tea Shop Productions and Hartley Gorenstein, are part of the Milla Jovovich franchise, while Constantin’s CEO Martin Moskowicz and Victor Hadida from Davis Film are executive producers. Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems, which distributed the original films, is expected to release the film domestically, while Constantin will release it in German-speaking countries, Elevation in Canada, Metropolitan in France and Sony Pictures Releasing in all other territories.
In 2018 it was reported that Roberts had been tapped to lead and write that resident Evil Restart. James Wan’s atomic monster dropped out of the project even though it was already attached.

The last episode of the first series of resident Evil Films directed by Paul WS Anderson with wife Milla Jovovich made $ 26.8 million domestically. Internationally, however Resident Evil: The Final Chapter an impressive $ 285.4 million, including $ 160 million from China. The sixth film, with a budget of $ 40 million and distributed by Sony’s Screen Gems, has grossed $ 312.2 million worldwide.
Based on Capcom’s hugely popular video games, that offers resident Evil To date, films have earned US $ 1.2 billion worldwide, making them the top-selling film series based on a video game.
