Record Store Day announced the first of its 2021 RSD Drops, with exclusive vinyl releases, RSD First Drops and more. The list includes Lady Gaga’s Chromatica on exclusive yellow vinyl, various early works from the Mexican summer era by Oneohtrix Point Never, as well as a new variant of Freddie Gibbs and Madlib’s collaborative album Piñata called Piñata: The 1984 Edition with new cover artwork. The full list can be found on the RSD website. The RSD Drops are scheduled for June 12th and July 17th.
Elsewhere on the list are Rage Against the Machine, Steely Dan, Czarface with MF DOOM, London jazz saxophonist Nubya Garcia, and live releases from Who, the Police, the Grateful Dead, the Rolling Stones, and other usual suspects. Other notable releases include the Shrek soundtrack (released on slimy green vinyl), the first vinyl run of Prince’s 1998 album The Truth, and the first vinyl release of Steely Dan’s Two Against Nature.
