Playboi Carti was the musical guest on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night (January 20th). Carti was playing his Whole Lotta Red track “Slay3r” with a full band and dancers when a circle of small flames blazed behind them. Check it out below.
Tonight’s episode of Fallon happened to coincide with Questlove’s 50th birthday. During the show, Roots’ Black Thought presented him with a heart-shaped ruby brooch. Jimmy Fallon gave him the Morris Day mirror, which was signed by Morris Day himself. Check that out below too.
Whole Lotta Red is Carti’s 2018 successor to Die Lit. The new 24-track LP includes performances by Kid Cudi, Future and Kanye West with productions by Pi’erre Bourne, Art Dealer, F1lthy, Juberlee, Richie Souf, Wheezy and others.
