slowthai has announced its own one day festival Happyland. The event will take place on September 25th at the Northampton Cricket Ground in England. Artists to perform include Shygirl, IDLES, IDLES, Beabadoobee, Greentea Peng, Ethan P. Flynn, Pa Salieu and more. The festival is directed by Slowthai himself. Tickets are available from May 14th. slowthai said in a press release: “Happyland with happy people. The place where we can laugh and joke. The place where you can be yourself with no judgment, expectations or impressions from anyone else. The space out of the shackles of everyday life. The mountain we climb to run away Imagine what you never had when you came to Happyland – you will never be sad. “
Slowthai’s TYRON was released earlier this year. Shortly after the LP was released, he reported for a session on Elliott Smith’s “Needle In the Hay”.
