The Replacements’ debut album – “Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash” from 1981 – is being reissued in a deluxe edition. It will be released on October 22nd via Rhino. The 4xCD / 1xLP set contains 100 tracks, including 67 previously unreleased, such as rough mixes, demos and alternative takes. The set also includes the band’s first demos from early 1980, as well as a professionally recorded concert from 1981. Check out what the box set looks like below and find the track listing on Rhino.
The new collection comes with a 12×12 hardcover book with rarely seen photos and detailed liner notes by Replacements biographer Bob Mehr. Former manager of the band and co-founder of Twin / Tone Records, Peter Jesperson, also wrote about the band’s early days.
