Citadel: Stanley Tucci joins the Russo Brothers’ new Amazon spy series

According to Collider, Oscar-nominated actor Stanley Tucci (Supernova) has officially committed to starring in the upcoming Russo Brothers global event series with the title citadel. In addition, the Danish actor Roland Møller (skyscraper) was also cast for the role of Laszlo Milla, a senior executive at Manticore, the citadel’s rival intelligence agency. Tucci and Møller will join the previously announced cast members Richard Madden (Bodyguard), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (We can be heroes) and Ashleigh Cummings (NOS4A2). The Amazon Studios project is planned as a global spy thriller narrated in several shows around the world, including Italian and Indian versions.

Tucci will next be seen in the long-belated 20th century studios The King’s Man Prequel and the action film shock with Kate Beckinsale. He will also be voicing his voice on the upcoming Disney + MCU animation series What if…? It’ll debut sometime this year.

The several installments presented in citadel will take place in the United States, Italy, India, and Mexico, with each version being given in the local language of the country. The US edition is supposed to combine with the other versions.

The global event series is written and executive produced by Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo will serve as executive producers along with Patrick Moran and Mike Larocca. The Italian edition will be a co-production by Amazon Studios and Cattleya from ITV Studios. While the Indian version is being developed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK

Madden gained worldwide recognition for his role as Rob Stark in the first three seasons of HBOs game of Thrones. In 2018 he received his first Golden Globe Award for best actor in a drama series for his performance on BBCs Bodyguard. Madden will be next in Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated film The Eternals Next to Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kit Harington and Gemma Chan.

Chopra Jonas is no stranger to the action genre when she first appeared on ABCs Quantico which aired for three seasons. citadel will be the Indian actress’ first major television project since then Quantico aired its final season in 2018.
